Miranda Alam is a freelance photographer based in Las Vegas. She graduated in May 2016 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in journalism and a minor in Integrated Marketing Communications. While there she held several positions for about two and a half years at the school's newspaper, the Rebel Yell. Before graduating she accepted a job as archivist with Nevada's largest daily newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Not long after starting, she began shooting daily assignments, pitching stories and managed to increase the number of followers subscribing to the newspaper's Instagram by nearly 10,000. She primarily shoots features for the Las Vegas Weekly, but also shoots news for the Las Vegas Sun on occasion. Miranda enjoys shooting street photography in her free time, and can't say no to a good concert.
