Miranda Alam is a freelance photographer based in Las Vegas. She graduated in May 2016 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Integrated Marketing Communications. Before graduating she accepted a job as archivist with Nevada's largest daily newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Not long after starting, she began shooting daily assignments, pitching stories and increased the number of followers subscribing to the newspaper's Instagram by nearly 10,000.
She primarily shoots features for the Las Vegas Weekly, but also shoots news for the Las Vegas Sun on occasion.
Miranda also works as a freelance photo editor for Getty Images, where she has been onsite for events including the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, the Netflix Golden Globes after party, Steven Tyler’s 3rd Annual Grammy Viewing Party, Def Jam Grammy party, Island Records x Primary Wave 2020 Pre-Grammy party, EMPIRE Pre-Grammy party, Sir Lucian Grainge's 2020 Artist Showcase, CES, Soul Train Awards, the Latin Grammy Awards, American Country Music Awards, Billboard Awards and Latin Billboard Awards among others.
Miranda enjoys shooting street photography in her free time, and can't say no to a good concert.
